Informed EclecticismWorkshop

I coined the term ‘Informed Eclecticism’ to mean having a broader knowledge of the history of our profession. Over the years we have passed through so many phases, so many methods and approaches – surely they can’t all be useless! And now we are in the ‘post-methods’ era still searching! My thinking is that amongst the various past methodologies are techniques and ideas which could well serve in today’s classrooms giving teachers more choices. So this session is designed to select some of the more relevant notions from the past and re-contextualise them in the 21st century.
